About the Artist
Jordan Williams
I began my journey with stained glass alongside my mom, Julie Gill of Big Glass Art, in Huntsville, Alabama.
After spending time in the catering industry (yuk.) I jumped at the opportunity of a paid apprenticeship at the Big Glass Art studio. The offer was simple. I would spend ten days a month in Huntsville, helping with commissioned artwork projects and teaching students. I would exchange a percentage of the money after covering airfare.
I enjoyed the time with my mom, but at the moment, I had no idea the path I set myself on. But, by 2016, I knew that stained glass was my passion, and I was determined for it to be my career. So, my husband and I (with the help and support of my mom) opened Little Glass Art in Colorado. We began with teaching in Colorado Springs, and before we knew it, we had locations in Colorado Springs and Denver.
In 2019, my mom decided to retire from stained glass. She had spent 15 years creating artwork for the Huntsville community and was ready to pass the torch. She now lives in Colorado and always gets the occasional – would you help? My time in Huntsville undoubtedly created the artist I am today. I will always cherish those memories and stay forever grateful for finding my passion and being allowed to be a part of the industry and family legacy.
About the Price
The factors that determine the price of a project are size (sq. ft.), complexity, number of pieces, number of colors, and quality of glass used.
We ask potential clients to specify the budget when reaching out. Doing so allows us to suggest options that align.
When it is impossible to align, we will give clear expectations of what to expect or alternative options within the budget.
There is no commitment for the client till the final sketch is approved.
We ask clients for a 50% down payment once accepted. The remaining is due upon delivery/installation.
About the Process
Stained glass is an intensive artform that utilizes specialized materials and tools. Because of this, creating a high-quality piece of artwork within a short timeframe is difficult, if not impossible.
We try our best to give clients an accurate timeline in the consultation stages. For installation, we often consult with a trusted contractor to ensure the finished product is as high quality as the artwork.
